ROBERT ALLENBY

BIO

Australian Robert Allenby has been playing professionally since 1992 and has a total 20 professional victories worldwide. His stellar career began when he joined the PGA Tour of Australasia and found immediate success, winning 2 events that year and topping their Order of Merit as a fresh-faced 19 year-old.   He continues to play events and travels to his native Australia each year to support the home tour where has won 12 times, including one as an amateur. 

 

Allenby made the transition to the United States and the PGA Tour full-time in 1999. Now living in Jupiter, FL Allenby broke though in 2000 and won 2 events, the Shell Houston Open and the Advil Western Open. He also won 2 events in 2001, the LA Nissan Open and the Marconi Pennsylvania Classic. Both seasons found him finishing 16th on the Money List. His highest finish in a major is tied for 7th, which he achieved at the 2004 U.S. Open and 2008 British Open. Allenby continues to be a force on Tour each week he plays and has continued to be amongst the world’s top ranked players. A Major title continues to consume his focus and goals on Tour.
