JD Fortune and INXS Deliver Gold Medal Performance

Last week in Vancouver, British Columbia, special guest lead singer JD Fortune and INXS rocked the BC Place Stadium Wednesday evening during the band’s sold out Vancouver Olympic Victory Ceremony concert.
Fortune, wearing Delite sunglasses by Kaenon Polarized delivered a gold medal-worthy performance, ending with the enthusiastic crowd’s demand for an encore, the first and only time of the Olympic concert series. From the moment he hit the stage, JD mesmerized the audience with his larger than life stage presence and vocal performance. Highlights of the night were Canadian #1 single “Pretty Vegas,” which Fortune co-wrote, and a heartfelt version of the ballad “Beautiful Girl.” The concert was the first time Fortune performed with INXS since their “Switch” world tour in 2007.
“I was so honored to perform at the Olympics with INXS here in my home country, and I am overwhelmed by the fan support pouring in from all over the globe,” Fortune said.
Fortune also wrote and recorded The Death of a Motivational Speaker–a collection of songs that began as an idea for a solo concept album. Instead, it evolved into an ongoing artistic event of audio, video and interaction shared directly with his fans via his website. This new entertainment business model has proven an overwhelming success as evidenced by the millions of hits on the site.
One of Fortune’s songs, One More Day, (Election Day) will be featured in promotional spots for the new CBS prime time drama from producer Jerry Bruckheimer, Miami Medical, which premiers Friday, April 2 at 10/9c.

JD Fortune rocked your Delite sunglasses right from the moment he hit the stage at the Olympic medals ceremony in Vancouver. What a statement he made that night wearing your ultra-cool shades, as they glinted in the glare of the overhead lights and underscored his command of the stage.
His performance with INXS on Feb. 24 was amazing, as evidenced by the rave reviews reported in the media, and judging from the crowd’s enthusiastic response to each song in the set.
I am so proud to call myself a fan of JD Fortune. I have been following his career for four years, and he continues to amaze me and inspire me every day. As much as he has accomplished to date in his two-year tour with INXS, his solo career is shaping up to be be even more impressive. He has shared his songs from “The Death of a Motivational Speaker” with his fans, and I can honestly day each song in the collection is a work of art.
JD’s fans at his website, JDFortune448.com have been graced with 20-plus or so songs he has shared in various stages of their development–each song more thought-provoking than the last. JD has a gift for unearthing the human emotions people often find so hard to express. I find it difficult to identify just one favorite from among all of the gems he has so generously shared.

Your website has written such a positive, glowing and very TRUE report of JD Fortune’s performance at the Vancouver 2010 Olympics!! JD was RIVETTING to say the least! Simply AWESOME!
When JD walked out on stage wearing those HOT sunglasses, I had to rush to find out where I could find them!

We couldn’t stop talking about JD’s kick ass performance or those sunglasses he was wearing!!
From the moment JD hit the stage we were most definitely mesmerized by his stage presence and his vocal performance but also by the added touch of sexy provided by those sunglasses!!
He wore them well!

i have been lucky enough to see jd fortune perform live 10 times over the past several years. he almost always comes out on stage at the beginning of a show sporting a pair of dark shades. this particular pair were super sexy! i hope to see jd wearing your sunglasses at many future shows!!

Also as a member of jdfortune448.com I want to say thank you for your article…There’s not enough time in a day to tell you what I think of Mr. Fortune, having followed him for 5 years now I can say he is one of the most talented HUMAN BEINGS I know. His performance at the Winter Olympics was totally amazing. When he walked out on stage he looked amazing in his sunglasses as always, he wears them well!! Thank you for posting the pictures…He rocked the whole concert and kept the fans there and online mesmerized throughout the entire concert. His solo music is also amazing having gotten to hear most of it many times..He is a wonderful human being who can sing and also looks totally amazing in your sunglasses!!! Beth

when i seen jd fortune come on stage wearing Delite sunglasses woohoo what a great pair of sunglasses he just looked like a model on stage he should be on the front page a fashion magazine. i want to thank you for all what you said about jd when he came onto the stage he sure did steel the show what a great performer jd is.i admire jd so much love his songs we have heard some on his site jdfortune448 go check it out he sounds awesome.thank you for the pictures

What a FLAWLESS performance by JD FORTUNE! Stunning! Absolutely Stunning!!He makes those shades smokin hot so much so that I now I have to have them! I want to feel the heat too!
