A lot of news in Baseball last week centered around Ryan Zimmerman of the Washington Nationals, and his hitting streak, which came to an abrupt stop last week at 30 games just as the media piled on and the spotlight began to intensify. THIS WEEK IN BASEBALL
Los Angeles Dodgers 12th home win against the Arizona Diamondbacks ties MLB mark. The 3-1 win over the D-backs gave the boys in blue their 12th consecutive victory at home to start a season and sixth consecutive win overall. Due to a sprained left hand, Colorado Rockies placed Jeff Baker, 27 on the disabled list but he’s eligible to return for the May 12th game against the Astros. Baker wearing Kore L G28 last played on Sunday, when he tripled with the bases loaded. Read more.

Spring Training officially began last week, with Pitchers and Catchers reporting over the weekend and position players reporting all of last week.
