The American side took their third victory in a row over the European side in the women’s most prestigious team / country event – the Solheim Cup.

The US Team was led by Morgan Pressel in Georgia Olive Crystal G12 golf sunglasses and her victory-clinching singles match yesterday in the final Sunday singles play.

Christina Kim playing in Klemm, also won her singles match Sunday and played extremely well all weekend, as well as emerging as a vocal team leader.

Sophie Gustafson wore Jetty Tobacco C28 and played well for the European side.

FISHING – SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
One of the hottest areas of fishing these days incorporates the cross-over athletes / waterman, who are into hard core fishing. Whether it’s Will James in Hawaii pioneering big game marlin fishing off Kona on his retro-fit Jet Ski, or these guys, San Diego surfers Morgan Promnitz and Jared Lane kayak fishing off the Point Loma surfline in the kelp beds. Ripping surfers and well known in the San Diego scene for what they do on boards, they’re now making a name for themselves in the hottest sector of fishing – Kayak Fishing, by going after shark for the fight, or prized table fair, Yellow Tail and White Seabass. FISHING

Multi-million dollar boats and multi-million prizes—it must be marlin fishing season. During the winter, many of the East Coast’s top fishing crews set-up in Portofino, Venezuela among them the Viking 60 Factory Team, wearing Kaenon Polarized Jetty G12, Gauge G12, and Lewi G12 fishing sunglasses. The big prize? A Carribean grand slam, catching a blue marlin, white marlin, and sailfish in the same day.

At Bisbees Black and Blue event down in Cabo San Lucas, Baja, the “Superbowl” of fishing drew 144 boats to compete for $3 million in prize money. In the mix were ’06 winners Team Bad Company’s Jimmy Kingsmill (Beacon C12) and Andy Horner (Klemm G12) and Tenacious’ Chris Choy (Hard Kore G12).
