Kaenon’s golf pros have been pushing hard this season and have made their collective presence especially evident over the last few weeks. Robert Allenby, playing in his go-to Hard Kore, Black, C50 lens, battled hard and won not only a well-deserved second place at the recent PGA Players Championship, but also glowing accolades from a host of golf writers on his sportsmanship and skill.

A globe trotting Morgan Pressel (wearing her now-beloved Sequence in G12 lens), beat an internationally talented field in the Salonpas Cup on the Japan LPGA Tour.

The women’s first Major Championship of the year and Kaenon Polarized was fortunate to see our top players keen and excited to showcase many of our newest women’s sunglasses: Sequence Gold G12 on Morgan Pressel, Leila Havana C12 on Sophie Gustafson and Joss Black G12 on Carin Koch.

Carin Koch wearing Joss Black G12 – who is playing mostly on the European Ladies Tour now that she moved back to her native Sweden, permanently, had a good showing despite living in the snow now.

Sophie Gustafson wearing the brand new Leila Havana C12 finished 10th.

The Women’s LPGA Tour made its 2010 American debut in Southern California at the La Costa Resort and Spa last week, as did Kaenon’s newest metal style from the 2010 collection, the Sequence™. LPGA star Morgan Pressel showcased the brand new Sequence Gold Grey12 in its first public showing, playing all four rounds wearing the new aviator-inspired metal frame. Sophie Gustafson played in the new Jetty Havana C28, while Anna Rawson played in the new Leila Havana C12 and Nicole Hage in the relaunched Delite Black G12. Morgan Pressel, wearing her favorite women’s sunglasses in Georgia G12 had a strong Sunday final round to finish 3rd overall at the Orena Ochoa Invitational in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Morgan Pressel, playing in Kaenon’s women’s sunglasses style, Georgia Olive Crystal, shot a final round 66 to share 2nd place in this lucrative LPGA Tour event.

GOLF – Sugar Grove, IL

The American side took their third victory in a row over the European side in the women’s most prestigious team / country event – the Solheim Cup.

The US Team was led by Morgan Pressel in Georgia Olive Crystal G12 and her victory-clinching singles match yesterday in the final Sunday singles play.

Christina Kim playing in Klemm G28, also won her singles match Sunday and played extremely well all weekend, as well as emerging as a vocal team leader.

Sophie Gustafson wore Jetty Tobacco C28 and played well for the European side.

GOLF – Solheim Cup August 17-23 Rich Harvest Farms, Illinois
This Bi-Annual team event pitting the best team from the United States against the best team from Europe and Great Britain will host three of Kaenon’s top female players.

The ultimate patriotic reward female golfers can receive for great play over a two year period, Kaenon’s three most successful ladies on the LPGA Tour made the cut for the Solheim Cup. August 17 – 23, the United States will host and take on Europe and Great Britain where the Kaenon ladies will compete for the cup. Christina Kim (Klemm G28) and Morgan Pressel wearing Georgia G12) qualified for the American side and will face off against Europe on their home soil against Sophie Gustafson (Jetty C28, Lewi C28) and her team from Europe this month at Rich Harvest Farms just outside Chicago. May the best team win!

Morgan Pressel, playing in Georgia Olive Crystal Fade G12 played great for the second week in a row, forcing a playoff only to lose on the first playoff hole and finish 2nd. She’s on a hot streak and wouldn’t be surprised to see her take a win sometime soon – the Women’s US Open is this week.

Christina Kim, playing in Klemm Plum made noise for 3 days as she led or flirted with the lead at the women’s first Major Championship of the year in Palm Springs, before settling for 7th.
2007 winner Morgan Pressel played in Georgia Ivy G12.

The ladies Tour continues its early season jaunt around the globe, this week in Thailand.

Morgan Pressel led the Kaenon charge on the leader board for the first 2 rounds, while wearing Georgia Ivy G12, and Georgia Black, but finished 22nd.

Sophie Gustafson, wearing Kabin Tortoise C28, finished 7T with solid, consistent play to start the season.
