Hawaiian Lifeguard Micah Halemano in Burnet FC - Built for Outsiders

Kaenon has partnered with the brave men and women of the Hawaiian Lifeguard Association. These dedicated life savers are some of the world’s greatest watermen and women and often spend over 8 hours a day staring into the harsh glare of the Pacific Ocean scanning for people in peril. In order to keep their communities and the beaches of Hawaii safe they need the best polarized eyewear on the planet and we are proud to provide them with those tools.

One such brave waterman is Micah Halemano, who is a second-generation Hawaiian Lifeguard, and protects the beaches on Oahu’s Eastside. We recently traveled to Hawaii so he could give us an inside look into what it means to be a lifeguard, what kind of daily training it takes to stay in the best physical condition and how good eyewear can be the difference between life and death.

Although lifeguards spend their works days at the beach, you may or may not be surprised what they like to do on their off days.
